NEC (Nelson Environment Centre) has been demonstrating leadership within the community on sustainability issues in Nelson for 30 years. Our role has always been one of information provider and promoter of all things environmental.
Our Mission
The Nelson Environment Centre’s mission is very simple:
it’s our aim to make the Nelson region a model of sustainability.
We do this by working proactively with the people of Nelson to promote environmental awareness and facilitate environmentally sustainable initiatives in this beautiful part of the world – our home, Nelson.
We are an umbrella organisation actively supporting a large number of projects.
